Details

  • September 24th Workshop Planning and Registration Status: Roberto Morabito, Rosina Haberl, Pete Bernard, and Michael Stauffer discussed the status of the upcoming workshop scheduled for September 24th (00:02:42) (00:07:12). Rosina stated that 42 participants had registered so far and noted that a reminder would be sent out prior to the event. Pete mentioned that a promotional post had been published previously and assumed that Qualcomm and other participants were actively promoting the workshop within the Generative Edge AI working group (00:04:48) (00:07:12). Furthermore, Roberto stated plans to moderate a portion of the workshop to assist with platform background management, with specific details to be finalized closer to the event date (00:07:12).
  • Planning for a Potential Third Workshop with NXP: Roberto Morabito brought up that NXP expressed interest in participating in a third workshop, a topic initially discussed by Danilo (00:02:42) (00:07:12). Pete Bernard suggested scheduling this workshop in December before Christmas, specifically targeting the first two weeks of December. Roberto agreed to treat the first weeks of December as a tentative date and planned to follow up with Davis from NXP to brainstorm and confirm whether the timeline works for them (00:03:41) (00:07:12).
  • Meeting Invitation Update and Calendar Distribution List: Pete Bernard pointed out that the meeting invitation still listed individual names rather than a distribution list and requested that Rosina Haberl move the invite to a distribution list through the Edge Foundation calendar. Rosina agreed to take action and update the meeting invitation accordingly (00:05:48).
  • Wiki Meeting Notes Updates: Roberto Morabito raised a concern that meeting notes for recent calls had not been uploaded to the wiki, noting that the most visible notes were from early August (00:09:14). Rosina Haberl explained that the notes from the last two calls were omitted due to the summer break and Danilo being away, and Rosina committed to double-checking the records and updating the wiki (00:07:12).
  • Connection Difficulties and Closing Follow-Up: During the meeting, an attempt was made to have Davis join, but technical restrictions and pushback from NXP prevented them from successfully connecting to the call (00:09:14). Because Davis was unable to join, Roberto Morabito committed to following up with them offline regarding the tentative early December dates for the third workshop, and the participants concluded the meeting with plans to continue discussions during their next call in two weeks (00:11:04).
