Charter: complement existing working groups by mapping commercial tools and solutions to applicable use cases across the edge continuum. 

Key work to include:

• Create an EDGE AI taxonomy spanning devices to regional data centers. We will leverage the LF Edge taxonomy while adapting it to the specific area of edge AI.
• Map the commercial value chain to the taxonomy 

• Identify key solution elements in the infrastructure (e.g. hardware, OS/runtimes, orchestration, security) and application (e.g. model training, ML Ops, data normalization, cloud connections) planes
• Establish architectural best practices – e.g. multi-cloud strategy, cybersecurity
• Map applicability of industry tools across the continuum based on context.  Note: not specific companies, rather solutions/capabilities.  Commercial companies can subsequently use the output to showcase where/how they plug into the value chain.
• Establish key use cases by industry and opportunities/applicability across the continuum

• E.g. use cases on a sensor vs a vehicle/drone vs. a small server cluster POP on a city block
• Related considerations for each, which tool sets/capabilities are critical, etc.
• Explore business models and monetization methods
